Hi I am new here to the forum kind of stumbled across it but have been doing well at burning in general and now all of a sudden can burn a thing. I am running nero 6.3.2 the failures happen at any speed. Originally thought it was the drive, so i replaced it, failures still happen. Then maybe thought it was media, bought different brand and still no change. Here is the log of the failure. Can anyone help me out, Please?

Did update nero with no change. It is a HP burner and the second burner is also a HP lightscribe. I have used all brands of media HP, Sony, Imation, Memorex, and Maxell. Cables are ok, in fact burned something less than 8 hours prior to the problem starting.

You can try updating your Nero, the current version is 6.6.0.16

What brand of media are you using, do not see any mention of it?

Check and make sure your IDE cable is secure and not worn out.

Too fast try slowing to 4x.

    - Nero is too old to recognise your burner correctly, so update Nero as per arniebear..

I tried earlier in problem and updated nero had the same issue, so I uninstalled nero all together and put back 6.3. I come back after work and tried another update to 6.6 this time I was able to burn a few disks and then problem starts back up. Speed is not an issue

    - media isn't being detected correctly. download dvdinfopro (free from www.dvdinfopro.com) and run one of those discs thru it's media info check, pasting results here
