Lately my pc just starts to reboot by itself. so i turned off the auto restart in windows and now i get a blue screen with this error message: Problem Cause By: win32k.sys Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area Technical Info: *** Stop: 0x00000050 (0xCDCC74DA, 0x00000001, 0xBF801633, 0x00000000) *** win32k.sys - Address BF801633 base at BF800000, Date stamp 41107f7a Begin dump of physical memory Pysical memory dump complete all i can do i reboot and wait for it to happen. i scanned my system with MemTest-86 v3.2 and it did 4passes without finding any errors. what can i do to get rid of this problem?? My System: P4 prescott 3,2GHz 2 x 512Mb DDR SDRam 2 x 160GB SAMSUNG SP1604N GeForce FX 5200 [NV34.3] 256MB MS-7008 (MSI Mainboard) by the way i checked for BIOS updates, there were none
And this has to do with xvid/divx in what way?.....What OS? Is is updated? Install anything lately? I googled the message and some references to Geforce cards came up, try checking drivers for your video card.
as a mater of fact it has nothing to do with xvid nor divx or any other X, i just screwed up when posting it here, sorry to confuse anyone... I have win XP pro, updated to the max, and i have also installed the most recent nvidia driver 66.93 or somthn... i cant really remember when this started so i dont know what i installed at that time... i know this is pretty messed up! does anyone know a diagnostics prog that might be able to help me? i cant really afford to reinstall windows cheers
