Today I've tried burning a data disk of lots of photos and vids of a wedding. If I use Nero Express, when I click on Add Files, it freezes and I have to end the program in the task manager. When I report the error, I get a link to this page. http://www.nero.com/eng/wer-nero7.html I'm running Windows XP, SP3 and have more than the space requirements. I don't want to upgrade as I am used to Nero 7. I don't really understand the message anyway. I'm not running a restricted trial pack either. I bought the full works years ago and anytime I've had a problem I've just uninstalled and reinstalled it but that's not helping either. Alternatively, if I try it through Nero Burning Rom, it at least lets me loads the files in and gets to about 52% of the burn, then just hangs there. I have to cancel/abort the burn. I've tried using Nero Express to copy a DVD and that works perfectly well. Even more odd, is that I've also tried the burn through my new laptop using Cyberlink (Power 2 Go)....and it started the burn but also failed. Could there be a problem with one of the files perhaps? I've viewed them all in Finepix Viewer and they all view/play well enough. Hoping someone can help me resolve this and get the burn done! Many thanks in advance.....Celine
I have since successfully managed to burn a data disc through Nero CD Burning Rom but I have to do so on a DVD-RW by adding 3 folders one by one, firstly by starting a multisession disc, then adding the second folder by continuing the multisession disc, then adding the third folder. I wasn't sure how to finalise the disc so it's still erasable at the moment. Any tips on how to finalise would be appreciated too). So, I'm stumped as to why Nero Express wouldn't even let me add files, nor why Nero CD Burning Rom wouldn't just let me burn the whole root folder...well, it started to, got to 52% then just froze. By breaking it down into 3 folders it took only a matter of minutes! Also stumped why my new lappy (Windows 7) would burn it all at once with a different application. Obviously none of the individual files was corrupt if I managed to burn them all in fragments. Any ideas anyone??? Thanks again.
