christmas is coming soon and i figure i go buy something for myself (along with gifts for others of course). and i decided that i should get a heatsink and fan for my Sapphire HD 4870 because the stock fan cools fine as long as i speed it up, but its just too noisy for my preferences. so i some suggestions on what to get. i want to get something like an arctic cooling because it has the good pre-applied thermal paste on (i really dont want to deal with that stuff. call me lazy but i just like to slap the thing on) im not sure about the thermal paste from zalman or the others.

i was thinking of getting the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1,

but ive read that on the 4870's, the ram heatsink gets in the way with the Accelero S1, so i would have to move it off center, which i preferably not do. plus theres no fan, so i would also need to buy a fan for that. so besides the Artic Cooling Accelero, does anybody have any other suggestions?

The HD4870 cooler is perfectly sufficient without manually increasing the fan speed. I don't know why people obsess over the temperature of the card, 80ºC is nothing to be afraid of, graphics cards always got that hot, the original 8800GT nearly touched 100ºC.
If you must buy a replacement cooler though, I'd go for the Thermalright HR-03GT, the Accelero S1 doesn't fit in all cases due to its outrageous size, and has a dubious installation procedure that can destroy the graphics card it's being installed to, that's certainly what happened when I was using one.
