Hi, OK I've read my eyes out on and off for days now and just when I thought I had it figured out... /// Use DVD Shrink or Decrypter to rip and RecordNow DX to burn on (which came with) on Sony DRU-510a burner /// ... I read again that Re-Authoring in DVD Shrink will make the menus unusable, which isn't what I'm after. So... Can anyone suggest how to get the complete functionality of a DVD that is larger than 4.6 GB onto a single disc. The answers are probably out there but I've entered a zone where I've lost the ability to absorb anything else. Thanks
You don't have to re-author with Shrink 3.1.4, You can just use the "Full disc backup", remove unwanted audio and sub-pictures. Your menu and extra features will still work! You can also apply more compression to the extras and menu using "custom ratio", while leaving the main movie compression in "automatic". This works fine for me if the movie isn't to huge to start with. I always use the deep analysis feature for the best picture quality. Remember that Decrypter decrypts, Shrink decrypts and compresses.
