Supercard DS (slot 1) solution has been announced! Finally.. hopefully this will light a match under M3's butt to get them into gear with G6 DS :) I got an e-mail from Romman regarding this, and have posted up the info on SupercardInfo as well as up here :) In the e-mail, Romman said he would be shipping out soon.. so I'm thinking maybe within a week or two's time period

    Feature list:

    - Uses a standard MicroSD/Transflash memory card.
    - Plug and Play (no need for an additional GBA cart or any type of Flashme/Passme device)
    - 100% support for clean ROMs - no need to patch anymore
    - no PC software required, just drag and drop the file from your PC to the micro SD memory card
    - Hardware save support, Unlimited storage, supports FAT, FAT32
    - High speed R/W system, supports all high speed flash memory cards without any slow down
    - The best hardware design. It is compatible with all current and future DS consoles, same size as original DS cartridge - does NOT stick out!
    - Fully upgradeable firmware and skinning support

Additional functions which may be built in (not 100% sure):
    - Can interact with GBA slot. Support SC Rumble Series as a rumble pak
    - Using the Supercard DS software (not required), you can trim ROMs, allow software resetting, and many other functions!

You heard it first from me :)

So from what you know, what are the advantages of the SDS and M3 Lite? Which one would you prefer? I think the SDS is about 55 dollars and you don't need to buy a Passcard right and the M3 Lite is about 100 with the Passcard.

Well, M3 will be coming out with a slot 1 solution shortly as well (the G6 DS). But if you want to play GBA.. I'd get the M3 Lite. Supercard DS will only allow for DS games and I have no idea about how compatible it -really- will be with ROMs. I personally would wait until other people have tried it to see how great it really is.. but I expect it to be something like the DS-X (pretty damn cool).. but the not-so-overpriced solution :)

But again.. its not out YET. It will be out shortly.. so if you can wait til probably after the holidays then its worth the wait (but I bet G6 will come out soon after this does :p)
