I have just purchased a samsung 5.1 home cinema plus a samsung LED TV
They are both anynet something compatible.
I also have a digi box that does not have HD connections
Can I play the sound from the TV/digi box into my surround sound 5.1.
I have tried various ways to link the digi box, TV, and surround sound without success.
I am a non technical person with a limited knowledge of these things but I can follow instructions
    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks for your reply.
There is a connection as described on my digi box
However it does not have a HDMI socket.
It has a scart socket, and my new TV has a scart to HDMI adaptor that I think goes into one of the four HDMI connections that says RGB or something on the TV!!!
Do you think that if I connected the TV to digi box using it,and then
the optical lead from digi box to DVD/Amplifier that would be all I need to do?

    Thanks
    Ivan

yes should do ,old starview, digivox and other boxes have a scart and an optical port so running a cable from box to amp should work.

Do you mean an toslink cable from box to 5.1 amplifier.
I have bought a toslink cable but it is very loose on the connection to the point that it drops out

    Thanks
    Ivan
