Wouldn't be an expert, tongs, but I think with cable server you have to have it in same country
Even if you could base server in foreign country you still need UK base receiving Prov signal
    to send to server

Does that mean SV boxes are now useless? and get another box, ie, KV? and is it safe to leave the SV boxes connected to Router & Powered on etc etc?

SV boxes will work again if server sets up again. If you're worried about detection unplug
LAN-cable from box. If KV server is based in UK it's possible it will be closed down too
A lot of SV box users also use VM broadband, so it may be as simple as VM noticing stream
from 1 address connecting to a lot of their broadband customers.
If you have a sat dish it's much more dependable to use sat server

Aye there will, but like anything, not set in stone, but if you look at the previous history and solid facts, thats SV hit twice for the same issue, whereas the KV still doing steady tracks, so they are doing something right
