I searched the forums but couldn't find a post which was relevant be my problem.

I have dl/ed several svcds (bin/cue) and when i try to play them on my computer(dvd software or media player classic) the audio sounds choppy. I recently reinstalled windows and before i did the svcds worked fine. I have dled the svcd codec and i emulate a cd drive using daemon. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem. As i said, they used to play fine so i don't know whats changed. I was thinking about getting some sofware (used to have vcdgear) to rip the mpg from this bin file but thought it would make no difference.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I ripped it to mpg, still does it, but i got the info using avicodec.
    File : 793 MB (0.0 B), duration: 0:00:00, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 80 %

    Video : 0.0 B, 2556 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 480*576 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported

    Audio : 0.0 B, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

Is there any audio codec i need? I thought that would come with the svcd codec, the sound sounds like its crackling when i play the files back.

    Thanks again.
