   i converted an avi to svcd and got it to play on my dvd player. it cuts off on each side of the screen, but there is a "menu" that shows all of the scenes at once. when it does this, the sides are not cut off. what do i do?

   There is notmuch you can do if your tv is for 4:3 playback and your movie is 16:9. Most dvd players would squash it in there but some dont and you would need a widescreen tv to view properly!
