Hi, don't know if I'm in the right forum but here goes.. I have just downloaded a film of which the file says SVCD, now the download has finished, there is two folders within the main folder - CD1 and CD2, and within both folders there are lots of .rar files - .r00, .r01, .r02 etc... so I unzipped one of them and it has produced a .bin and a .cue file, I understand that .cue file is a image file as alcohol 120 has recognised it but when I tried to mount the file and watch it, it wouldn't let me... would I need to burn each disc onto a cdr? to watch it on a DVD player? or would it be possible I somehow join the two and burn it onto a dvdR?
i think you have been f*cked, you downloaded a piece of sh*t, you would have been better off downloading the AVI file than the whole RAR/ZIP bullsh*t, they are usualy a problem,so it would be better for you to download the AVI and convert it yourself than trust someone you dont even know to do it for you properly
of course, heres the guide:. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/svcd_to_dvdr_from_img.cfm what do you mean alcohol 120% wouldn't let you mount the image? what error message came up? before you answer that though, try daemon-tools to mount the image(its free) and see if that works, if that doesnt work dont panic, it may be a simple case of a corrupt/damaged or wrongly typed .cue file....in that case download this small app to create a new .cue file that will diffenatly work:. http://www.site.uottawa.ca/~glabr047/cueator.html if that doesn't work, then you could always use isobuster to extract the mpeg stream from the .bin file:. http://www.isobusterdownload.com/isobuster_eng.zip (load bin image into isobuster, double-click on the 'mpeg2' folder, then right click on avseq01.mpg and select the 'extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames). you can then use nero or your burning app of choice to burn a new svcd with the extracted mpeg. goodluck
