it's a bit like the problem entarno had on "TMPGEnc Error Converting SVCD to VCD" thread, only I have my movie as a bin file. I mounted it using virtual daemon, and then tried to open it with tmpgenc - nothing. I have the mpeg2 codec, and I can see the movie on my WMP. Also I downloaded the M2V vfp-0.6.28 plugin, but it still didn't work. What next can I do????????
I hope you ment a MPEG-2 folder in the bin file. to that i would answer - but of course - it's the svcd file of "the core". If you ment inside the 'vfapi plug-in' than i'v got mpeg-2 video plug-in (m2v.vfp) on 0 priority [i tried it also on 2nd priority, and also with the direct shaw on 2. nothing]
Ok, get VCDEasy... VCDEasy http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/vcdeasy.cfm Now click the tools button and click mpeg tools then! At the end there is a cdxa2mpeg option, load the dat file in one and with the other, choose where to save an mpeg! Then click convert, try the mpeg file that you get!
What can I say. You're a sheer genius, A life saver!!!! Someine here should really consider renaming this site after you!!!! And if by all these you didn't anderstand, it worked. Thanks
i also downloaded an SVCD movie that was a .bin with a .cue, and i managed to turn that into a .mpg <mpeg 2>. I can view it in wm9 <although it blacks out every 5min or so>, but in VCDGear i cant put the mpg in the tools because it says it has to be .dat only. does this mean i convert my mpeg2 into dat?? ive tried everything to make my .bin a vcd but nothing helps. the progs i have are: nero, vcdgear and tmpgenc. any help would be nice
if the movie in the bin/cue had an mpg extension then it probably had no riff headers so just extract it and play it in WinDVD or something!
