SVCD readable by regular DVD players?

    If I have a DVD player that is capable of reading vcds will it also be able to read SVCDs as well?

    No that is Not nescessarily the case...Generally speaking your DVD Player has to specificly support SVCD and it should say in your DVD Players Manual if it does or doesn"t..You should also go to "http://www.dvdrhelp.com/" and look in there DVD Player List for your Modell and it will have a Bunch of User comments on your DVD Player saying what it will play and What it will not Play...But now is the Time to get a DVD burner cuz they are Quite cheap these days, There are a couple of Dual/Tripple Format DVD burners on the Market that are selling for less than $150 US, Hell I paid more than that for my CD Burner....Cheers
