i burned a svcd to dvd using dvd lab but when i watch it on my player the sound is there but the picture is black and white? any ideas?
Maybe the movie was PAL and your system is NTSC or vice versa? If this is the case, you need to re-encode the SVCD movies to your system type (SVCD PAL --> SVCD NTSC or vice versa), first using DVDLab. To understand if this is the problem you have, try loading the mpeg it with any SVCD-maker application (like VCDGear) and try to understand which system it is (or open the movie with BSPlayer and read what it says, on the main screen 'xx.xx.xx @fps' : keep in mind that 25 fps = PAL, 23,976 or 29,97 = NTSC).
Yes this Sounds Like you are playing a Pal DVD in a NTSC DVD Player or a NTSC DVD in a Pal DVD Player... When you Load the File into DVDLab right next to the File in the "Audio and Video" window it will say if the File is NTSC or Pal....
You would Have to re-encode the pal file to NTSC useing a Mpeg-2 encoder...doing this will Lower the Quality but you don"t have much choice in this case....
