SVCD with solid colour & background music stutters

    I have noticed that whenever there is like a solid colour displayed eg 'black'which has music in background - the music stutters and then when it goes to a movie scene the audio is out of synch but eventually catches up. I use TMPGenc to encode my movies to SVCD at a bitrate max 2400kbps I even reduced it to 1500kbps and it still has this problem.
    How can I fix this problem, or is it my DVD player? (pioneer 533k)

    Does it play like that on the PC or a stand-alone dvd player??

    It only plays like this on a standalone player.

    ah ok so, well i can make some recommendations, use good cd-r media, and birn at lower speeds!
