i managed to do up a few movies & burn onto a CD using Ulead Video Studio...i chose MPEG-2 PAL as the movies are being played in australia. the weird thing is that about 50% of the people i sent it to (say 12 people) cannot play this CD on their stand alone DVD player (but are able to play on their computer using Windows MP 9). It works fine on mine (which is a multi region sony). For the people it didnt work for all have different branded DVD players & some are multi-region. Is there something i am doing wrong here? is their some sort of option I should be ticking in this program that i dont know about? could it be my CD burner? any help is greatly appreciated.
You're not doing anything wrong. The simple fact is that only 60%(at best) support VCD and SVCD. I own one myself. There's nothing you can do really, though in extremely rare instances(depending on the model) a firmware can be downloaded and flashed on the player that will then suport (S)VCD's.
