i follow all the instructions on the guide that i found here and my svcd burned with nero 5.5.8... won't play on a standalone dvd... it just plays on my computer... i have windvd platinum and only the menu appears but with no link to the movie... but a friend tried and the menu didn't appear but the movie did... what can be happening?
One possibility is that your DVD player does not fully support SVCDs (just because it supports VCDs does not mean it will support SVCDs). Another option is that there was an error in the burn; you can always try re-burning the disk. I know this is not much help...
