quite common with these.. there is a partial short somewhere in the rf or backlight circuit that is pulling down vcc_main causing the battery to shut down to a "under voltage discharged" state.. unfortunately it's not a commercially viable repair as the 1 hour skilled labor to get somebody with the know how and skills to fix it will be more than a used working one.. unless you have a friend who is good at microsoldering that is..
