I'm using the free version of sygate firewall and recently it has been reporting a lot of port scans. Should i be concerned if it logs about 5 port scans per day. Sygate says in the security log that in these attacks the protocol is UDP, what does that mean?
use windows firewall also. UDP is a type of internet protocal If you have a router(which you should) open IE/Firefox and type 192.168.2.1 and login without a password and if you never been in here and dont know the password go here and find you router(http://www.phenoelit.de/dpl/dpl.html) go to NAT and make sure that everything is removed and uncheck unless you open some ports for programs. There is also programs that will block IP's from even seeing Google the moto!
