My friend's nephew has a Sylvania Meso Netbook with a 4 Gb SSD in it.....We would very much like to upgrade it to a higher capacity hard disk but I can't seem to get the darn thing open. I removed the battery and all the screws on the underside that I can see but no luck. I don't want to break it either. Anyone who knows how to disassemble this particular brand of netbook or can point me to a website that explains how, please do. Sylvania tech support sucks, BTW. Much Thanx in Advance
says 8gig here. http://sylvaniacomputers.com/product.php?id_product=15 this is from 2009 "The Meso uses a conventional 2.5" hard drive and is available with either 80GB or 160GB of storage." http://broadcast.oreilly.com/2009/03/a-linux-netbook-done-the-right.html 80gig hd here http://www.reviewheaven.net/sylvania-g-netbook-meso/
Whether it's 4Gb or 8 Gb, it's not enough room for a modern day teenager and he only has 100 Mb worth of space left....I need to know how to remove the bottom cover so I can switch out the drive.....
