I am downloading movies in WIN Media Player formet and using DVDFAB 8.1.1.2 (dated 8/11) into MP4 and downloading into iTunes for my iPad2. I then either watch on business trips or use Apple TV - Airplay on the big screen at home. Some of the movies (approximately 40%) are in perfect voice sync. The other 60% are not in sync. My question, is how do I get the video's in sync? It is at the stage that I delete them rather than watch then talk 1-2 seconds after they open their mouths. Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated. You guys were great when I first started out ripping my DVD's but with Apple have evolved into the iPad arena. Thanks.
With all the experts on this forum, no one has a fix???? Perhaps it's in the wrong section? If so, perhaps someone could recommend where it should be posted. Thanks.
I don't have a fix or an iPad and I'm not sure what Win Media Player format is, but HandBrake can handle different source formats and has an iPad preset, you might want to try it.
Will Handbrake be able to fix the sync problem? That is my only problem and reason for this question.
Any Video Converter is free and will convert to mp4. If sync is still a problem, convert to avi first and correct with AviMux_Gui (also free, fast and works on W7) but will only work on a constant sync issue through the whole movie. Quality is excellent with AVC plus you can select bitrate. Long way around but should work unless Handbrake does or better ideas come along.
Been trying Handbrake and will test in about 2 weeks.....the next trip on the plane and a little vacation and will watch using ATV (Apple). Will download AVC and try it. Almost 95% of the downloads are .avi.
If already avi, just open in AviMux, left click to highlight and select generate data. Info will appear below, left click audio and if other than 0 appears to the right, select start creating a new avi named and put where you want, use it to convert to mp4 (only works with constant sync issues) Takes less than a minute here.
Now this sounds like just what I need. Thanks and I will post back after I try it. Again, thanks and let's hope it works.
http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/ 1.17.8.3 binary, may need to use compatability mode, I'm not at present with W7 but believe I have.
Can't be discontinued, I just downloaded 10 seconds ago to check after your message and not long ago also. Aah, I see, ignore and download, extracts and works fine.
Sorta sounds like a beta but I've been using it for years. If concerned, go with binary 1.17.8, that will need compatability mode.
