ok i know i'm a n00b at this, so please bear with me, I have a xecuter 2.6ce and i have installed it as per the instruction on teamxecuter.com, here's the problem, I turn the chip on and the system turns itself on and off 3 times then I get a FRAG (flashing red and green), however if I turn the chip off then the systems boots normally, i checked all the solder points and they seem fine, what can be the problem?
Hi I have had this exact same problem with me xecuter 3. You need to check that your chip is sitting on the pin header straight, otherwise it cant make a connection with all the points and wont work, which is why it is turning itself off and will work without the chip.
Yup, the problem lies w/in your chip install. Make sure everything is connected to the correct point, especially the D0 point. If you have a v1.6 Xbox, then make sure the LAD points are all connected properly. Make sure there are no solder splashes on the board also. Try unplugging the chip from the pin header once and booting the Xbox up to see if it does the 3x reboot. You don't need to put the hard drive or dvd drive back in, just make sure everything is hooked up on the motherboard, plug it in, and check to see what it does. Report back...
