What the heck is this thing anyways? The System Idle Process... It's always at 99% or 100%. It slows my computer down tremendously. I really don't know what's causing this!!!
Description: the System Idle Process is not a process, more a counter which is displayed in WinTasks used for measuring how much idle time the CPU is having at any particular time. This counter will display how much CPU Resources, as a percentage are 'idle' and available for use. Cannot be killed
I cant see why it would slow you computer down. it can't slow your computer down. Maybe a virus is running around or spyware?
Hey Jay05, Geestar is right about that! If you are concerned about what is actually running on your pc, you should download the program called: WinPatrol. You can get that program from PCWORLD.COM. This program will let you know what is running, what is trying to run, and if anything is trying to install itself. Hope this helps!
Okay I'll try to download that prog. Oh I'm doing a lot of shared stuff on the network and people are using the files and sometimes even music to just listen too I guess. Could that possibly be the problem of my computer?
