take out dvd drive without error 7

    Does anyone know how I can take out my dvd drive without it booting to an error 7?

    usualy when you remove the dvd drive from an xbox when you turn it on it shows an error code 7, but i have people do miniture xbox mods and they remove the dvd drive and it doesnt boot to an error code 7, that is what i want.

    Removing the DVD drive will show an Error 11\12. Error 7 is a corrupt or dead HDD!?

    oh i thought you get an error 7 when any ide cable is unpluged

    so does anyone know how I can remove the dvd drive without an error 11/12? do I need a modchip?
