I've been searching the forum but cannot find any mention of my problem. I am in England and a couple of months ago I lost some channels on my Starview The Box Super.. $ky still works but Ar$senal tv doesnt; and some other channels that I'm not bothered about.. I have been reading about the problem viewers in Ireland have been having for the last few months and was wondering if thats what is causing my problems?? I dont think that it is since I still have the majority of channels.. Is it anything to do with $etanta going off the air ?? I've tried rescanning and have the latest update.. I'm baffled to whats causing the loss of channels.. If anyone has any ideas of whats causing it and how to fix it, I would be very very gratefull.. thanks for taking the time to read this thread, I know it may be repeating the same problems that others are having but I've only seen this happening in Ireland..
Do a factory reset, turn emu back on and then do a new autoscan on your provider. Some frequencies changed you need to do a factory reset before the new ones will be picked up.
Thankyou very much for the help. I just did a factory reset, emu on and then a scan. Everything works now .. even some new stuff Problem is still no Ar$enal TV.. It's picking up the channel but there is a slate saying Ar$enal TV has ceased broadcasting.. I did some research and found this.. Apparently when $etanta went bust they took that channel with it.. After $etanta Sports entered administration and ceased broadcasting its core channels, Arsenal announced that Ar$enal TV would continue broadcasting in the short term but the club will evaluate its long term viability. [6][7] On 22 July 2009, $etanta Sports administrators Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu announced that they would sell $etanta Sports' $ky Digital EPG slots through Canis Media, including Ar$enal TV's slot on channel 435. [8] On 31 July 2009, Ar$enal announced that as a result of $etanta Sports going into administration, Ar$enal TV will no longer be available on the $ky platform until further notice. Since $etanta ceased to broadcast, the Club had been exploring alternative options regarding the future of Ar$enal TV. However, for the short term, Ar$enal TV will be exclusively available online. [9] All of Ar$enal friendly matches prior to the 2009-10 season would be shown exclusively on Ar$enal TV Online apart from the Emirates Cup. On 4 August 2009, Ar$enal TV was removed from Virgin Media channel 542 and replaced with an on-screen slate citing that Ar$enal TV had ceased broadcasting. As of 5 August 2009 Ar$enal TV continues to broadcast on $ky channel 435, despite a similar on-screen message appearing during the channels downtime. ------ Hope this thread has helped anyone else with the same problem as me.
I have noticed for a while now that the channels on my Starview are gradually vanishing. When I first scanned I was getting in excess of 400 including radio channels,is this due to them going off air or do I need to update my BOX. I know we have lost Setanta,but they seem to be dwindling quite fast. I am with Virg-Med. Anybody shed any light on this PLEASE. I have done factory settings and rescanned but every time I try this I always get a different amount of channels.
when i scan i always get around 320 but other times it could be more or less depends what time of day you scan because some channels might be on air at that time,
