THE BOX SUPER USB

hello people,

I have the same problem as most with the Star View 4 box.
I have most of movie channels but no Sky Sports 1,2,or 3

Anybody got suggestions? I have re-set and scanned a number of times
and even tried factory re-set but nothing?

Is there any chance??

does this me my box wont work again?does antbody know how to get channels back?

 

You need to update your firmware to version 1.12
Although Sky News doesn't work and the programming guide
isn't as good. But it works! Happy Programming!

But not being very high tech - How can I update firmware?

 

Below is a link on how to update your firmware.
Be careful as v1.12 will kill clone boxes.
Please read up on how to tell if yours is a clone
Usually by how many vents there are.

I have identified that my box is not a clone by using the following website which I have pictures - http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/61452-guide-how-to-identify-a-starview-4-usb-clone-2.html

But I cant open the firmware links- from website you mentioned - any alternatives???

links to the software you need,at the top
of the page. I just checked them and they
work fine. I'm not sure what other help

Sorry mate still having difficulty -below are the links I try going on - but keeps saying HTTP 500 Internal Server

This box is easy to update all you need is a usb stick and firmware file and logo file.

Also before you reinstall the new firmware
reset to factory defaults. the default
password is 0000.

No. It's best to power off box before removing usb then power back on.

 

Congrats. You're pause and rewind live tv and recording from epg will not work without something plugged in.I suggest an external hard drive. No bigger than 32Gb as you need to format it to fat32.

 

If I some channels such as Sky Sports 1 go off - Shall I just wait and will it comeback on automatically?

 

birmingham's gone but a friend of mine's box still works after rescanning, left with terrestial, but he's got a different one

SKYSPORTS still working. Shall I re-sent using above instructions again using the downloaded software on USB?
