I've tried to make a backup copy of the Matrix Reloaded. The backup disk won't play on my home DVD. But....it will play on my pc. I get the message on my home DVD.....'no disk found'. I've been using both DVD Decrypter and Smart ripper. I've had no problems until now. I've been burning with Nero v.6

Can anyone help? I apologize if this question has been post before. Thanks much

Your problem might be that your DVD player cannot read that particular media. You might try another brand, Verbatim or Ritek G04 for example, those are usually very combatible with standalone players. You might also have to check if +R or -R discs work better.

Here's a list different DVD players and people's experiences with different medias, check it out to find out what your player reads.

If this doesn't help, then you have to check your settings in Nero, get the newest upgrades etc... You wouldn't be the first to have problems with Nero 6, but anyway check the media issue first.

    Hope this helps

is this the first backup youve made? or possibly the first with this media/software ?

does the player play other dvd's on the same media?

thanks for the replies. My standalone DVD player is a apex ad-3201. I use only Memorex brand DVD's, i.e., Memorex DVD +RW (4X) and Memorex DVD +R (4X). I'll keep trying.... thanks again

    Hi indy,
If you are ripping with SmartRipper and/or Decrypter, then how are you getting the movie compressed enough to fit? Are you using Nero Recode 2?

    Just curious,
    Frank

I'm using DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta 5. I've never had a problem backing up DVD's. I've probably backed up 10+....this is my first 'hick-up'

Memorex? That media gave me nothing but trouble so I decided to try what eveyone suggested which is Ritek. Good ass media for good ass price. Burnt 23 so far with no problems.

    Hi again indy,

It sounds like you are making a mistake with Nero.
I assume the other discs you burned using the same Memorex media played in your player.

Are you getting any error messages with Nero?

Make sure you are in the DVD-Video mode when using Nero 6 Burning ROM.

I would highly recommend you download DVD Shrink 3.1.4 and let it auto-burn for you using your Nero.
