Hi, sorry if this issue was discussed before, i tried searching but didnt find any. This is my first time in this forum so pardon me for my "gooberness" haha. anyhow, i have divx, xvid, ac3filter (which fixed the sound problem in The Ring movie). There's sound allright but its too low, i cant actually hear some of them. I tried watching other movies and they're working great. Apparently this The Ring movie is giving me a haarrrd time. thanks and hope you could help me on this low (subtle, soft, muffle, subdued,, hehe) sound issue.
I had the exact same problem and I finally fixed it by going into my audio decoder prefernces or control panel, which should be your particular AC3 decoder, and changing my speaker output to just stereo or 2 speakers. Whats happening is your AC3 decoder is outputting in 5.1 but you only are hearing the front two speakers, so you have to change it. Hope that helps!
