I have made backups for my sims 2 discs 1-4 (not dvd version) and university (2 discs). When I install the sims 2 first, everythings great. Then when I install the university pack everything goes fine until after it installs and says "Now the sims will update to make sure everythings up to date" "Please insert disc 4" I insert disc 4 and it DOESNT detect it and keeps asking me. When I click cancel for the patch it uninstalls university. Ive made it work before but I cant remember how!!! Some one who is super smart out there, help me with this!
Hey mate, i have a solution to your problem if you havent yet done it. I had the same problem and found out how to get past it by accident as a matter of fact. I'd tried so hard to try and find a CD image that worked i got so fed up that when it got to the part saying "insert CD 4 of the Sims 2" i just switched off my PC and what do you know!, the game then worked cause all the files needed must have already been installed. I've had the expansion installed for a while and it seems to work fine, but don't forget to add the NO-CD crack if you didn't already know . Hope you get it working!
