I'd like to take credit for this but I can't; I noticed this program in a reply cougar_ii made to someone. While I'm a pretty skeptical person, I tried a couple of avi in it;, 1 with constant sync issues and 1 with gradual sync loss after encoding and both were fxed. In about 1 minute, too. The program is AVIMux_GUI: http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/ Just add your video in the top window by dragging and dropping it and select "generate data source" after highlighting it. This will show the audio and video qualities below, select audio and a box to the right will open showing the delay in ms. If anything other than zero shows, hit "Start" naming and saving it where you want and use that new file for your encoding. The file that had a gradual loss of sync after encoding showed a delay of 0 ms but processing fixed it too. Post back if it works for you, I'm curious.
I tried opening my AVI'z with Virtual Dub 1.6 and 1.51 and I keep getting this ERROR message... ------------------------------- Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'AVC1' (unknown) VirtualDub requires a Video For Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow Codecs, such as those used by Window Media Player, are not suitable. so Please help me...What does it mean?
Can someone help me out a little more on the subject... I have an AVI that the Movie is PERFECT Quality and it runs perfect until about 1hr and 6minutes into it the sound is off... How can I just fix that one section of sound...I tried VirtualDUB but the sound isn't changing in that area...Why?? Please help..I can't figure it out
You can give AviFixed or DivFix a try but ensure "keep origonal file" or somethimg like that is checked or it will be deleted. You can also check this out: http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=140540 Appears to be for VCD, SVCD and DVD are 48,000 Hz.
