I used to have a DS lite and R4 but I couldn't play all the SNES games I loved. So I mainly used it for the compatible games, nes games, DS games etc. I'll go ahead and throw it out there that I know nothing about the DSi aside from higher contrast/larger screen and camera/SD card slot. I was just curious if there have been any advancements since the ds lite... Can the DSi with it's new hardware run SNES emulators any better? I am a bit naive but the slightest news of being able to play Super Mario RPG would have me dropping the cash instantly. Or are there any advancements that are significant over the DS+R4? I tried researching but I can't seem to find much, so pardon my ignorance. Thank you!
I have DS lite and DSi and I cant see any major advancements. yes the DSi does have a bit more, like a camera, which is ok but quality is sh*%... theres also other gimicky features, you can read all about it on the Nintendo Website. As for the R4, well sinced the R4 days, theres lots of clones, some are ok and some are crap. theres lots of others and better flash cards available. I have Acekard 2i and getting the Supercard DSONEi. If you mainly plays snes/nes or old games, then I suggest you take a look at a Dingoo A320. youtube vid here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-hFui72qWw available to buy at www.dealextreme.com at about US$83.
