Well, this is not my first build but i need some suggestions on this budget pc i plan on building.. I'm undecided with what processor to purchase, i can't decide on the e8500, Q9550, Q6600, i know the i7's are the way to go but i don't have that much money plus all the motherboards i checked out that support DDR3 are all between 250 and 300 dollars.. This pc will be a gaming pc so my first intentions was to buy the e8500 and overclock the hell out of it!! Thanks in advance for any help you guys or gals can provide for me.. Ohh, i forgot to mention that i already have an extra 8800GTX from my old Opty 180 build and i have a Thermaltake Toughpower 850W modular power supply so that's covered, also i have a Samsung 245bw monitor so my credit card can take somewhat of a break from spending anymore moola!!!! Here are the specs..... http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingCart.aspx?Submit=ChangeItem&ChangeQty=0
your link does not work. copying the link to your shopping cart will not work, you need to make a wish list then share it or post all the parts individually. for the cpu i would get the q9550 but if you want to spend less then the e8500 will also be great. they will both overclock nicely but the q9550 will be more future proof and last longer.
Sorry about that, here's the link.. Looks like i'm going to go with the Q9550.. I've done so much research on the Quads that my heads about to explode!!

everything looks fine. i would get an antec 300 or nzxt tempest for your case but the one you chose is fine. also the dvd burner you chose is ide. it will perform the same but cable management is harder with big ide cables.
I just noticed that the dvd drive was ide, i'm changing it to a sata one.. Thanks for your input krj, the nzxt tempest looks pretty nice by the way.
