Ok this is whats going on now, ive done all the right steps, ive put the game in my xbox drive, extracted the files to my computer, (shaved off the right files of certain games)patched them up, made the ISO, copied the game to a DVD-R and put it into my xbox, but i keep getting these errors, The Dirty or Damaged error, the disks are not messed up since they are new(making back ups) but for some strange reason the game wont load, if it does it only plays smooth for a good 15 min or when it comes to a cinematic. I know its not the drive because i have a philiphs and it messes up on it so i tryed it on a samsung and it does the same exact s***! Any help please, as i said before could it be my Burnables? If so could someone who has a philiphs please tell me what kind of blank media they use. oh yea and i do use Nero to burn

"shaved off the right files of certain games"

    maybe this is your problem.

try doing this with games that dont need anything shaved off then you'lll know your processes are airtight....for the moment somethings not right.

the games are playing to some extent so your patching is working...i assume like you have that your disks are no good.

if your in the UK you could check out ukdvdr, they have ratings against the disks they sell.

i dont really use disks anymore as i have a HD installed.

to be honest, if your making your own backups you may be better off getting a HD installed.

Like decoy7 said it could be your disks (the brand), try 'Ritek' GO4 disks.

What about updating your firmware on your dvd writer?

i know of a problem i had with a liteon dvd writer (think it was a 411s) i couldnt make a game play in the xbox.... 25 disks later a tried a firmware update and it worked a charm, even on liteons web site it said that the new firmware had xbox compatibility increased :)

So try updating that from your manufacturers web site.

    Hope this helps.
