Is there anyway to make a backup of my original Tiger Woods 2004 PC cd's if I don't have a 2 sheep burner. I have the standard Samsung CD-R that comes with a 2004 Dell Desktop and I also have a external HP dvd200e writer. I keep getting ecm/ecd errors using blindwrite v4.7.5. Any ideas.... Thanks in advance for any help. I've burned numerous PS2 cd's and dvd's on these same burners without any trouble but this PC game is kicking my @ss.
PC protections are an entirely diffent endeavor. The errors you're seeing while reading the disc are normal for SafeDisc protected games - it's part of how the protection works. You may be able to get a copy to work with Alcohol 120% but you'll need to keep Alcohol installed to run the copy. Here's a link to the correct settings for Alcohol: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/142347
If I purchase a 2 or 3 sheep burner, will this solve my problem? I don't want to have Alcohol 120 installed to play this game...
A 2-sheep burner such as the Lite-On 52327S or Asus5232AS will definitely be able to back up SafeDisc 2.9. Just be sure to use the SafeDisc 2/3 profile and set the read/write speeds to 4X for best results
