Uh ... was there a question with that? ;-) Uh........ _X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7N8X-X, XP2500+ OC'd to XP3200+ Samsung 1024MB, PC2700 OC'd to PC3200 480GB [3x160GB, 7200, 8MB] EVGA, GeForce4 Ti4600 128MB Rules and Policies: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
no question its just there for people to post there opinions about the systems or ask about components maybe they were thinkin of buying from someone who has got them as the bumf you get with components rarely matches the performance of the the thing itself.also i had a budget of 750 uk pounds.whats your prob with the radion 9550 graphics card ,im not a big gamer so uber graphics was not an option.
My 'problem' with the Radeon 9550 is that it doesnt exist (TMK). You have a link on that baby? _X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7N8X-X, XP2500+ OC'd to XP3200+ Samsung 1024MB, PC2700 OC'd to PC3200 480GB [3x160GB, 7200, 8MB] EVGA, GeForce4 Ti4600 128MB Rules and Policies: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
It appears there is a Radeon 9550, though I'd never even heard of that model till now. It looks to be a step below the 9600 series from the specs. It supports DX9 although I'd question how well it would run the newest generation of DX9 with the eye-candy turned on. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=15771
its only for playing generals /zero hour and war craft 3/frozen throne and my crappy old nvidia geforce 2 plays them ok even with 7 oponents on a skirmish game.
preator with the same budget 750 uk what would you have bought youve got 2 systems to think about and you can use any stuff from the old spec to add to the new ones id be interested to see what youd build ,and i fully expect to see the words (and id overclock it to) a lot in your post.lol
Last year I bought two systems for $300 and $350 CAD each, both spec'd at: ASUS A7V8X-X XP2500 60GB 7200rpm GF4Ti4400 Soundblaster Audigy 400W Enermax Basic case Thermaltake Volcano 9+ 2x80mm fans Wireless keyboard & mouse
i take it they were both second hand, or the prices in canada are very very low.you couldnt touch that new in uk for that money
Not second hand. I bought the parts and assembled them. I;ve got some arrangements with some stores because ive been shopping there for 10 years or so and UK prices I must agree are slightly insane
What did you actually pay for the system i hope it was not the whole £750.00.Man if you did take it back man you can get alot better deal if you build yourself or even on a pre built system if you go to the right place.
