Can you please point me in the right direction to start learning this stuff for free. Ive been asked to maintain some websites but I have very little knowledge in this area. Thanks -Del
Google can be a life saver in learning some things. Like typing "HTML tutorials" will get you several sites dedicated to teaching how to use the HTML language. What exactly will be required of you to maintain these sites? Might help to point you in the right direction.....
yes there are alot of tutorial sites out there for HTML i would recommend learning HTML first, it gives you a great grounding for anything else some people just start to use WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) applications like Dreamweaver and Frontpage etc, but they never understand the underpinning language of them both but as for maintaining them we would need more info on that one
Well I am nut sure exactly what they want yet. Haven't been to the bidding table on this one. But when I do find out what they want I can post here. I can guess though. This is a real estate company. So I am guessing they have Prefab websites. So when there personal information changes then they might want me to do the changes on the pages. Stuff like that. They may also want a flashy page with moving stuff but I don't really know. Thanks -Del
Here's another good site http://www.w3schools.com/ Also, having two monitors is great. Ever since I got them, doing work has been so much easier.
I also liked htmlgoodies.com It gives you free lessens that you can print out step-by-step. Thats how I learn'd html.
