I have recently noticed a DVD doing something new. After a minute of music, which I have since removed (no effect on behaviour), the menus ends and the film begins. I would prefer that did not happen. I've looked at VobBlanker, PgcEdit, IfoEdit and a couple of other tools, but I am not sure what I need to be doing to fix that "problem". What I would like is for the menu to stay infinite, until someone presses a button. It seems to be that way for most other DVDs I have. I would also prefer to use one of the above tools, but whatever works. Any ideas? Thanks.
If you are going to try it, use a backup. In PgcEdit, 'File' > 'Open DVD'. Double click on the menu and note the 'Cell Still Time'. The value (in seconds) is the timeout delay (255 means infinite). If it isn't 255, change it, then click 'OK' back to the main screen. 'File' > 'Save DVD'.
Ah thanks. I knew 255 was the infinite number, having found some random post through a google search, but did not know how to apply it. That will help a lot. I'll also send you a quick PM. Thanks. EDIT: It's worth highlighting that, as there are often more than one of a particular menu, this would have to be applied to each version of that menu.
Setting a cell still time to infinite would make the motion menu stays at the last frame and not loop. If you want it to loop, use a Link command to link to the current cell or program in the Cell Commands area and reference the Cell Cmd # to 1 in the PGC Editor.
