I have 15 .avi files that I have successfully converted only 13 of to a file that DVD Author can utilize. I used Virtual Dub to separate the .wav file associated with the .avi. I used DIVXtoDVD to make the .vob and associated files. When I try to use Author to pull them together I get the following error: "Could not initialize decoder." I have tried deleting and downloading the .avi files to no avail. HELP!!!!
Have you tried DIVXtoDVD on the original AVI's with the embedded sound? The couple of times I've tried DIVXtoDVD to check it out, it handled the sound just find. No need to extract it to WAV format like some tools require.
I used DIVXtoDVD and I'm guessing since it only asked for the .avi file that it didn't use the .wav I extracted with Virtual Dub. Is the decoder for the sound?
