help! i'm about to go nuts! my problem is i'm trying to convert an xvid with ac3 to vcd. i open tmpge take the movie avi. as video input, no audio input, select ES (video only) to make an m1v file. as soon as i hit start i get this error- read error occured at address bffa125 of module 'KERNEL32.dll' with 0297efoc. i hit OK and then start again and i get another error that says- invalid pointer operation. i tried other avi files and they run fine! i've read all of the other read error questions but none of them said kernel 32.dll. what could be the problem? settings need changed? i don't know where to start! thanx for your help! in advance, tazman
try this click option - environmental settings and click the vfapi plug-in. right click directshow file reader and give it a higher priority until it reaches 2 and try again. If that doesnt work you could try frameserving from virtualdubmod!
thanx dela! it now works without any problems! will i need to keep the same settings when i go to mux the files together? or should i change them back to what they were? much appreciated! tazman
No when you are muxing them, you wont need those settings at all because the video stream will be mpeg-1 then. Its up to you, it really doesnt make much difference but I would put the priority back to equal the rest (or majority of the rest).
