Hi, I have a divx avi (and all codecs etc), a few frames were incorrect so I loaded the .avi into virtualdubmod and scanned all frames, then masked the bad ones and re-saved the file. I then loaded the new avi file into virtualdubmod and re-scanned the frames just to make sure all errors were gone. It said 0 bad frames, 0 frames masked. So I assumed it would be ok. I then loaded the AVI into tmpgenc plus and encoded it, I got to about 62% and the encoding failed. I then loaded the source range dialog in tmpgenc and jumped to the frame that failed (from the log) and as I played it, I say a tiny glitch but the video carried on playing. This must mean virtualdubmod didnt mask all frames or tmpgenc is more sensitive to errors. Why is this, cant tmpgenc ingnore such frames? or why doesent virtualdubmod detect the error. If the worst comes to the worst I will just start re-encoding from about 10 frames after the error but I will lose some of the audio (the error is mid conversation). Has anyone got any ideas please???
