Iam using tmpgenc to convert my movies.i was wondering if anyone has encountered problems with this software.Due to the length of time it uses to convert movies(20 hours in most cases)obviously you would use your computer for other things,i.e. burning movies with nero, downloading media etc.Would this cause any conflicts between the jobs? Any input would be greatly appreciated? Also would any of the above apply to dvd shrink also.

When you are encoding movies, i would recommend not doing anything at the same time, as it takes 100% of the CPU.

I have encoded several XVIDs to MPEG2 with TMPEGEnc and havnt had a problem.

And yes, i wouldnt do anything whilst using DVD Shrink either.

    What are your comptuer Specs?

I am having difficulties with TMPGEnc.
It is encoding the files but they are too short in relation to the original. For example , a 90 minute movie is now 56 minutes long in .m2v format , how is this.
I have successfully used this programme before but now every movie is the same. Also get a error reading message every now and again. I am beginning to lose patience and hair!!!!!
    Can someone please help?

Most appreciated in anticipation of solving problem.

    Eric
