I'm trying to convert an avi file into a format I can burn onto VCD or DVD.

Although TMPGEnc recognizes and is able to convert some avi's I've had, there are several video files that it simply refuses to convert.

    Any idea why?

Oh -- ummm -- I know I will get flamed for this, but here goes -- these are videos I downloaded from Kazaa. I'm guessing these might be bogus avi's that Hollywood executives put onto Kazaa to frustrate young newbies such as myself. Could there be any other explanation? THANKS!!!!
