I have used TMPGEnc-2.5 to encode an avi into mpeg to burn to Vcd. After leaving it on all night (49 minute file), I found that the video is fine but there is no sound. There was sound on the original (mpeg 3 layer). Can anyone tell me why this may have hapened. I am very new to encoding and trying to make a vcd.
    Thank you.

    ladys,

What did you enter in the video and audio file section? Since you do not have your audio demuxed (extracted) from your original AVI file, you need to put the AVI file in both the Video and Audio selection.

If that still does not work, you would have to use some other software to demux your sound from your AVI file first into a WAV and then go though the whole re-encoding process again.

    Hope this helps
