I have made a number of VCDS using CLADdvd and TMPGENC - (VCD NTSC) and have never experienced a problem. I recently decided to upgrade to SVCD (SVCD NTSC) format to reap the benefits of improved quality. I have no problem encoding into SVCD (as I can watch the movie in WINAMP) but when I go to the merge and cut utility to separate the movie into burnable sizes, TMPGENC crashes and windows XP reports that the program must terminate. Has anyone else experienced the same problem and does anyone have any inputs? Much appreciated!!
yes this has happened to me in the past. it used to freeze up when it got to the second part of cutting then i used to start messing with the mouse and clicking on the box. but ive found that if you just dont touch anything and wait a couple minutes it comes unfroze and finishes cutting
I will certainly give that a try..did this happen to you only when editing SVCD format? I can't even get to the first half of the merge and cut
