tmpgenc errors converting avi to mpeg 2

    the problem is I get an error that is as follows: read error occurred at address 000b1861 of module tmpgenc.exe with ff5b931c. I tried again and got an error earlier in the encoding process. The movie plays fine on my computer but is there something I am doing wrong? help would be great. Thanks

    what progy you got?

    TMPGEnc or

    TMPGEnc PLUS ?

    i have had an error on one of them as i have both! one loaded files the other would not!

    i think they are from diff companys!

    Get the latest version of Virtualdub. Open the file, and then go to the "video" menu and select "scan video stream for errors". Its possible that the AVI file has soem corrupt frames if it was downloaded from the Internet.

    I tried that and found no bad frames openned tmpgenc and again I am getting errors. I used ulead dvd and I made a dvd but the next one couldn't convert for some reason. Is there any other reason why I am getting errors using tmpgenc?

    one loaded files the other not!
