In tmpgenc plus 2.524.63.181, I am trying to use the KDVD (352 X 480 Half D1 NTSC) template to convert an avi file.

Everything goes fine until I go to encode and I get a warning that "to playback MPEG-2 file, DVD player software needs to be installed on your system. MPEG-2 files cannot be played without such playback software." If I try to encode anyway, I get audio but no video.

All my programs play MPEG-2/DVD just fine, so I don't know what the deal is. I tried installing Mainconcept MPEG codec as well as the Stinky codec; neither changed the behavior of tmpgenc plus.

    Please advise.

Strange. With the standard KVCD Template TMPGenc shouldn't create any audio, it should create a M2V video file only.
