    Hi

I'm trying to convert a DivX file into MPEG2 by using TMPGenc. I've followed the guide on this site, but when I get to the bitrate setting window in the wizard, the duration of the movie has doubled and the file is more than double than what will fit onto a disc - 225% of a DVD-R.

I've converted this type of file before and not had any problems, but this one has me stumped!!

I've opened the file in AVIcodec and get the following information:

    File : 700 MB (700 MB), duration: 1:47:49, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 43 %

    Video : 601 MB, 780 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 576*320 (16:9), DIV3 = DivX v3 ;-) MPEG-4 (Low-Motion), Supported

    Audio : 98 MB, 127 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, Supported

    Any help is much appreciated!!

    cheers

    mikey
