Aight guys, im a newbie, but aint all that lost. I used TMPGEnc to encode an .avi file into an MPEG-2 file with-out any problem. Then i used it for another .avi file that is 110mins and i used your Guide: AVI to DVD. On the last part just before clicking to encode the file, (which AVIcodec showed 25fps, so i used PAL, and showed 110mins), TMPGEnc showed +117% and the file was in red......i also noticed on the top TMPGEnc showed the file to be 25 fps but 293min?!?!?! I don't understand this and the .avi file doesn't seem to be corupt cause it plays just fine in divx. OK so any help would be much appreciated, thx for yr time.
Decompress the audio to wav first. Use the wav as your audio source in TMPGEnc. To decompress, open your avi with Virtualdub, go to the audio menu and select "Full Processing Mode", then go to file and select "Save WAV".
thanks a lot tee, waws waitin all day for a response... im gonna try to do what u said and keep u updated on the problem, incase anyone else might have the same problem...again thanx for your time
That isn"t the Problem but you should ALLWAYS decompress the audio anyways when useing Tmpgenc..If you go to "Options" to "Enviromental settings" to "Vfapi Plugins" and Raise the "Direct show File Reader" to "2" then it should read the Files correct length But if Not then go to the "Source Range" and set the Beginning and end Points of the File...Cheers
Thanks a lot for the feedback minion, i'll check what u said and will also decompress the audio, its just that it wasn't explained (decompressing the audio seperatly)in the AVI to DVD guide. But its all good, i have a good fealing its gonna work. Again many thanx
