When i try to use tmpgenc and re encode lord of the rings 2 it cuts video out about 5 mins into movie what is my problem.. i am also somewhat new to dvd burning..i just wanna burn my mpgs and avi's to a dvd-r and watch them on my dvd player ..Why must it be difficult
I had this problem with this movie. There were a few bad frames about 5 min. into the movie that froze the picture but audio kept going. When I converted using TMPGEnc, I selected the source range (move slider back and forth to easily find the bad frames) from begining to a few frames before the bad frames and from a few frames after to the end of the file. then when both parts were encoded I joined them (merge and Cut). Playback was perfect after except for a slight skip were the bad frames were taken out.
Tried avi fixed and divfix and they don't always work and you could wind up with out of sync audio. I know my method takes a little more time but not much and it always works.
It may effect the audio, however, when groups release files on the net with an audio sync problem, they issue a fix usually with NANDUB! so it has better audio support than most others
