to large

    hi,
    hope this is in the right thread. i've converted some movies with vdub worked fine they were already split into 150mb files. but i have 3 films that are 700mb or above when i go to convert them so tmpge can read them they end up being over 48gigs what can i do to make them smaller or how can i get around this prob. any help would be great!!.

    If I understand well, Your files are AVI?

    yes they are, sorry should have said that to start with.

    U should use a codec to create an .avi. as far as I know mp3 audio is accepted by TMPEG. Download a codec pack (ACE mega codec pack is Great) and an mp3 compressor will appear in Vdub. Also a codec will be needed for the video.
    Be careful, dont lose quality, dont change resolution eg. A file size 700 mb for an avi is ok, it must have a good quality to show nice on TV.
